About Mrs. J

Dear Ones,

Thank you for taking a moment to come to my “about” page to find out a little bit more about me.

I have been a born-again believer since the age of twelve and have followed Christ since that time in my life.  I am not perfect, yet I know the LORD is not finished with me yet.  I am still under construction.

I am married and have one son. This school year marks my twenty-ninth year in education and my nineteenth year at Clark Middle School and Frisco ISD.  My family and I don’t have any pets except the occasional wolf spider who dares to enter my kitchen when I am cooking dinner!  Ladybugs are my favorite insects; I thoroughly despise mosquitoes. My mother still has to remind me to water my plants once a week.  I have two plants here at school and several outside in containers. I seem to remember them better that way. Go figure.  I enjoy reading, gardening, traveling, cooking, and being on the go whenever possible.  I am obsessed with food.  I love music and singing and am a member of the Sanctuary Choir at Stonebriar Community Church.  U2’s The Joshua Tree album ranks at the top of my personal favorites.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in history from Texas A&M University and proudly support my Aggies during football, basketball, and baseball season.  Whoop! We are the ORIGINAL 12th man, the Spirit of Aggieland.  I will look forward to seeing how they fare this season. Gig ’em, Aggies!

My students keep me laughing, and they help me to keep energized for the next thing around the corner.  Education is never what you expect!  I learn something new each year that I am blessed to be upon God’s beautiful planet Earth. I try to see my students outside of the classroom by attending athletic or fine arts events.  It helps me see them in a different light.

I want people to live at peace with one another. A verse that sums up how I feel is  “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”—Romans 12:18 (NIV)  This type of peace is not from the 1960s mentality; this peace encourages us to be wise enough to realize that the LORD is in control and has all things in His hands.  Make it a great day!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Johnson (aka The Fabulous Mrs. J)

  1. Hi dear Mrs. Johnson
I’m an English Language and Literature teacher & I came up with your weblog completely randomly.
It comes from your words that you’re a great source of energy, hope and joy. Be the same kind and nice forever.
