We are done with the first day!  Today was spent with information exchange about who I am and what I expect from my students.  After being assigned a seat, the students completed an information sheet about themselves with mostly fun information such as favorite radio station, favorite soda to drink, etc.  I read Richard Scarry’s Please and Thank You Book to remind them that courtesy is key in today’s day and age.  The course syllabus comes home tomorrow, and Pre-AP students will bring home a contract for you to sign tomorrow as well.  Please have your student bring in a composition notebook or spiral labeled on the inside with his or her name.
