Holes Novel Test Retakes/Vocabulary Quiz

If you scored below an 85 percent on the Holes test we took on May 1, then you will want to attend the retake session on Monday, May 19, at 3:40 P.M. in my room.  Bring a snack if you need it, and get your test and/or answer sheet signed by a parent/guardian.

On Friday, May 23, we will have a vocabulary quiz that covers the vocabulary packet we did a while back.  Here is a link to some flashcards I created for study purposes.  Review them over the next few days.

Holes Test

Make sure that you have reviewed for your novel test over Holes tomorrow.  You will work on the character analysis graphic organizer after you complete your test.  Please get some rest tonight, and do your best tomorrow.  Good night and sweet dreams.  Be kind, and do good.

P. S.  Did you do your ten minutes of fitness today?  It could be something like jumping jacks, running in place to music, push-ups, sit-ups, etc.  Playing XBOX, PS4, etc. doesn’t count unless you are actively moving around.

Quiz on Friday!

Students will have a vocabulary quiz on Friday over their Word Skills Unit II words.  If your copy goes missing, please check the class calendar on the right-hand side of my blog.  Read your realistic fiction books in your spare time, and take notes.

Foodie alert: Tonight is spaghetti night since we did “heat-and-eat” for dinner last night.

Class Notes

I will be on morning duty all next week, so if you have any ILA tutorial questions, you will have to visit one of the other ILA teachers in the sixth grade hallway.  I will be available after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  The on-level students have an ILA test on Monday, December 16, over Fever 1793.  PAP students took their test yesterday; the grades are posted on the HAC already.  Be good this weekend!
