Class Notes – October 12, 2011

On-level English has a DOL quiz on Friday, October 14.  We will be in the computer integration lab typing the final copies of their short stories on Monday, October 17.  If the story is longer than a couple of typed pages, then they need to bring a flash/zip drive to school on Monday and save their work to finish at home.  It is due on Wednesday, October 19.  Their papers will be in Times New Roman 12-point font with double-spaced lines and one-inch margins in black ink.

PAP English has their short stories due on Friday, October 14.  They are to be typed double-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman font with a one-inch margin.  I emailed a template home yesterday for Microsoft Word 2003 and 2007.  Ask your parents (nicely!) if they’ll share that with you and let you type like mad on your computer at home.  Use your spellchecker feature to help you, and ask a family member to read it once or twice before you turn it in to me.

Remember, if your home printer is out of ink or dead, then you are to use a flash drive to bring it up to school and print it in the Integration lab before or after school.  Emailing Mrs. J the paper is not an option.  I have no access to GoogleDocs, so we are doing things the old-fashioned way.  I hope this helps.  Take care, and I’ll see you in class tomorrow!
